I’m Cole I’m a nineteen year old aspiring writer and literary wanna-be currently studying English at UTSA and soon venturing on to the greater Austin area to study at UT. My life is a collection of events--grand and small--that have shaped and formed me into the man I am today.
I’m a pretty-much-un-published-writer having been published only once in The Harris County Scholastic Art and Writing Anthology: Imprint while in my senior year of high school. I’m a wanna-be writer actively searching for my place in the world. My writing is a collection of things big and small cobbled together in an effort to impress and express my inner-self. I believe strongly in the power of words, and their ability to shape and form our realities. I try and write from a lower view--keep literature on the level of the people rather than high and lofty in academia. I work in romantic necessity, pseudo literary fiction, time-based plots, and philosophical implications while occasionally attempting a satire or two.
I’m a creature born into this world on the day of February 14th 1993, In such I am one of those fancy people with holiday birthdays
I dabble in as many forms of art as I can with the exception of traditional painting, drawing, and so forth as I’ve left that to my truly more talented brother.
Yes all you girls can just stop trying right now, I’m totally 100% Gay.
In such all you boys can now start trying because I’m also 100% Single.
I write about boys and romance I’ve never known. I have a tendency to drone in and out of short choppy sentences and flowery words. I believe language is best expressed when connected together through seemingly abstract ideas. Writing above all else should be flexible and changing.
I’m fickle and well mannered, I love puppies, cheeseburgers, Netflix, and on occasion believing I’ve actually got a shot at getting with some cute jock boy.
I love you <3

Chaotically Beautiful (On going)
Chaotically Beautiful is my dip into novel writing; the story of a boy with a troubled past who soon becomes burdened by the tragic events of his life through the ominous hands of his alter-ego: Benjamin, who slowly turns him from sane depressant to angry militant as he trudges through the west-Texas landscape piecing together the fragmented parts of his past. Read It
Year of Reading (On Going)
Chronically my 2012 challenge: Year of Reading is where I’ll review, quote, talk about, and basically be all about books. Year of Reading is a project I started out of my love for reading and was designed to help me dive further into the modern world of literature rather than just read lofty literature. Read it

Selected Scenes (On going)
Selected Scenes is a project I've recently started. I consider it my excursion into longer fiction writing. The stories here are present as just that: short stories. They focus on form and style and try to center around a specific set of guidelines and characteristics that define my writing as my writing. Selected Scenes are in general just that--scenes. They are rarely absolutely finished but portions of stories that I'm still hashing out. Read it
Hey there! So if you're like me, you like to read. If you're also like me you try to read in weird situations and at odd times; you try to read on the bus ride to school, in between classes, in the waiting room, or standing in line at the DMV. If you're like me you're always trying to read things in segments of twenty or so minutes, and if you're like me you dread opening a book and not knowing if you'll be able to finish the chapter or not before the doctor calls you in. Never fret, I've got a solution to your woes.
See, I like to read and I also like to write. But more than anything, I like for people to read what I wrote. However the sad fact is that it's really hard to get published and self-publishing is one of those icky words I don't really like. So here's the deal: I'm offering all these things in this little section for free. They're mostly collections of short stories, things I loved writing, and things that I thought you might love reading. The kicker here is that they're all free. Just download them and be on your way, no worries huh?
Here's what you can do with these things: read them, share them with a friend, talk about them at the water cooler, rip them up because they're so shitty, laugh at them with your friends, use them to pretend like your reading so that creepy guy won't try hitting on you again, and mostly make yourself seem so cultured by reading an honest-to-goodness independent writer! All I ask is that you don't be a total jerk and steal and take credit for all of my stuff, I spent some amount of time on these, after all.
What you can do though is write something of your own. Go on, just do it. Just pick up a pen and start writing! That napkin on your table, scribble a poem on it, or the opening to a novel, go on, I’ll wait. See how fun that was? Well anyway, here’s to you, the continual book-worm.
Enjoy.
Numeric Stories
